Hey friends,

Tonight, Batterymouth is going to be performing at SMUSH! at Stage 773 at 8pm. It should be awesome.

SMUSH! crams improv, stand-up and sketch comedy acts all onto one stage and is hosted by Liz McArthur. Tonights other acts include The Puterbaugh Sisters, Lola Bolatro, Old People, Kevin Sciretta, Aaron Weaver and Cameron Esposito. It should be a good time.

So, come on out to SMUSH! tonight. We hope to see you there!

Okay, I think a lot of us need to go to this meeting. Zack and I are both in a new Awkward Spaceship video called Angry Birds Addicts Anonymous.

We made the video with a lot of our friends including Zoran Gvojic from Low Carb Comedy and a lot of the gentlemen of Long Pork. You should check it out.

As you probably know by now, our friends at Long Pork are funny.  Like, really funny. They have their live sketch show and they also make a lot of great videos, like Zombie Chef.

You can imagine my joy/surprise when I heard that they’re making another Zombie Chef video. While we still have to wait for a while before it comes out, in the meantime they’ve decided to share a behind-the-scenes video of the making of the next Zombie Chef, which, in my opinion, stands up in its own right. Check it out below.

The Last Week of Batterymouth: It Burns

It’s almost time for the last performance of Batterymouth: It Burns. We’ve had four great weeks so far and week five will be it.  Here are a couple of fun pull quotes from reviews of the show:

“Batterymouth’s new long-form improv show at Second City’s de Maat Theatre is definitely in the top percentile of the dozens—or is it hundreds—of improv shows going on around town.” -Chicago Theater Blog

“Chicago is a comedy Mecca, so it can be difficult to decipher what shows, out of the vast sea of options, are deserving of your precious time and money. Allow me to make it a little easier for you: go see Batterymouth.” -Gapers Block

“The idea of two people inventing and sustaining a solitary half-hour scene in real time-without abandoning characters or setting-is a grueling feat indeed. Notably, the men of Batterymouth pull it off… No one can deny the improvisational skills of these two actors.” -The DePaulia

As Abraham Lincoln once said, “Woohoo!”

So, our last show of the run is this Friday and our opening act will be our dear friends Long Pork.  They usually do sketch comedy and produce videos, but every now and then they do improv.  This is one of those special occasions.  Don’t miss the last performance of Batterymouth: It Burns.
