This Friday night, May 1st from 7-11pm my friend Laura George will be showing her art at {fill in the blank} gallery, 5037 N. Lincoln Ave.  She’s incredibly gifted, and her images are of fantastical creatures in nature which give a sense of warmth and soft happiness.  I think cozy blankets, and fireplaces–  this is feel good art!  Get a feel for it yourself at her blog, minutiae.  If you like what you see, you can meet Laura this Friday (I’ll be there!), or if you can’t make it, her art will be showing at fill in the blank until May 30th.  You can also purchase her art straight off the web from Etsy.  Check it!

Mega Man + Kanye West = Awesome

Imagine a world where Kanye West released 808s and Heartbreak in 1988 instead of 2008.  A world where Nintendo licenses out it’s characters to appear in pop music videos.  A world where masked superheroes actually exist.

Wait, scratch that last one, that’s Watchmen, but the first two things are what you can find in Myk Dawg’s unlicensed music video for Kanye’s Robocop. In my opinion, it’s one of the coolest songs from the album and it now has a fun and funny video featuring the one, the only Mega Man.

One of my favorite things about the internet is that we can now all share in these glorious homemade projects that 10 years ago you could only share with your close friends.  Enjoy!
