Hello, hello, hello there everyone.  When we here at Batterymouth started this whole blogging thing back in January, we decided that we would text message each other when we had posted something, in order to prevent posting about the same thing more than once or having an abundance of posts on the same day.  At first, the texts were pretty straight forward, but now they have gotten just entertaining enough that I feel inclined to share them with all of you.  Enjoy!

For the record…my heads up text for this blog was “I’m like Willy Wonka, packing more flavor than an Everlasting Blog-stopper!”  I know…not my best.

Batterymouth is back on stage, y’all!  Tonight we’ll be doing some long form improv at The Playground in Chicago and it should be a grand old time.  Did I mention it’s at midnight?  I didn’t mention that it’s at midnight?  Okay, it’s at midnight.

I don’t know why, I kind of just like writing the word “midnight”…

We’re opening for two teams - Double Stuff (Joseph Holt, Patrick Rowland and Brandon Taylor) and 55 Days at Sea (Joseph Romaine, Vincent Portacci, Derek Shoemaker and John Edward “Ted” Tremper).  Tickets are only $7 and The Playground is BYOB, so it’s a great way to have a cheap Friday night out that contains a metaphorical bucket full of laughs.

We hope we’ll see you there.  We miss you.

Our friend Sarah’s band - MyMyMy - just released their first music video and I’m of the opinion that you should watch it.

Why?

Well, first off, it’s  a pretty funny parody of…  You know what?  I’m not going to tell you what it’s a parody of.  If you don’t know what it’s a parody of after watching it, we really can’t be friends anymore.

Second, the song - “Middle Aged Hardware and Youthful Indiscretion” - is pretty awesome and you’ll actually enjoy listening to it.

Third, our buddy Nick plays a Libyan terrorist in the video.  How often do you get an excuse to write that sentence?

So, check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Improv Look-A-Likes

So I had this realization the other day that there are really a good number of celebrity look-a-likes within the Chicago improv circle.  Right?  Am I right?  I’m right, right?  So…the obvious one would be Adrien Brody’s local doppleganger, David Pasquesi.  But, there certainly are more out there…for instance, I went to see The Cougars final performance at iO a couple of weeks back, and I couldn’t help but notice how much Patrick Stonelake looks like Adam Corolla.  Am I right?  I’m SO right.  Anyway…I thought that it would be fun to pick Batterymouth’s celebrity look-a-likes…and it WAS fun…and here is what I came up with:

Right?  Am I right guys?
