On to Week Two with Electric Lunchbox

2011
Hey folks, a big “thank you” to everyone who came out to see the opening night of Batterymouth: It Burns on Friday. Our suggestion was “Sorrow” and Gapers Block had this to say after seeing the show:
“Chicago is a comedy Mecca, so it can be difficult to decipher what shows, out of the vast sea of options, are deserving of your precious time and money. Allow me to make it a little easier for you: go see Batterymouth.”
Not too shabby. Check out the full review.
Now that our opening night has come and gone, we’re moving on to week two of Batterymouth: It Burns. Our opening act this week is Electric Lunchbox, which features local improvisers Tommy Beardmore, Sam Enos, Danny Groh, Frank Leyden, Jonathan Matteson, Charles Rasmussen and Adam Schreck and is coached by super-stars Craig Uhlir and Lyndsay Hailey. So, the de Maat is going to be jam packed with improv this Friday night. Don’t miss it!

Hey folks, it’s finally here – Batterymouth: It Burns opens this Friday at the de Maat Theatre at Piper’s Alley at 7:30pm.
Our opening act this week is Honor Student Breakfast, which features local improvisers Dan Hodos, Tim Joyce, Drew Mellon, Gabe Morrison, Scott Plant, Bobby Richards, Tyler Samples, Jake Shuda and Kellen Terrett.
They’ll be doing some improvising, we’ll be doing some improvising, it should be a fun time.
If you’re going to be coming this show and/or any of the four nights of the run, feel free to check out the Facebook event for the show and let us know that you’ll be attending. You know, if you’re into that kind of thing.

As you’re probably aware, a couple weeks ago we announced our upcoming run at the de Maat Theatre at Piper’s Alley – Batterymouth: It Burns. While we announced our run, we didn’t announce our list of opening acts.
Guess what I’m about to do in this blog post.
That’s right, I’m about to announce our list of opening acts! Here they are:
Honor Student Breakfast will be opening for us on January 21, Electric Lunchbox will be opening for us on January 28, Wildcard will be opening for us on February 4, Tina with the Weather will be opening for us on February 11 and our dear friends Long Pork will be opening for us on February 18.
We hope we’ll see you at Batterymouth: It Burns not just to see us, but to see some of these great acts as well.
