In one of the most bizarre political maneuvers to date since [INSERT BLAGOJEVICH JOKE HERE], Speaker Nancy Pelosi has rickrolled America via her youtube channel. I’m not making this up people. Check it out.
So, what would make one of the most powerful women in America do such a thing? Her handlers clearly know the value of a viral video and convinced her to do it in order to get people to talk about/go to the U.S. House of Representatives youtube page - House Hub.
And, see, it’s kind of working. They’ve got a noble goal - get people involved in their democracy - and I respect that. However, I do find it rather alarming that someone would stoop to these tactics when they’re two heart attacks away from becoming the president. If Joe Biden screams out “Leeroy Jenkins!” in order to get people to pay attention to Obama’s economic strategy, I’m not going to be amused.
And since I try not to be a hypocrite, I will make you this promise right now, America - Batterymouth will never Rickroll you.
Okay, Mark and Zack might, but I’m never gonna do it.
