You know what always gets everyone in the mood for Christmas? Long form improv.

That’s why you should join us on December 22nd at 8:00pm at The Playground for an evening of long form improvisation.  We’ll be performing along with Rhythm Method and the Pre-Party, which is a weekly improv mash-up. Tickets are only $10, so come on out to the show before you jump head first into a sea of ho-ho-hos and awkward stocking stuffers.

We just wanted to give a big “thank you” to everyone who came out and saw us do some long form improvisation at The Playground last night. It was a super-fun show that involved the owner of a failed bar, the only waitress that works there and their relationship.

It was about that and it was about Moby Dick and the lottery. You had to be there.

So, thanks again for coming to the show and we look forward to seeing you next time.

Smell that in the air? It’s fall. Fall and three upcoming Batterymouth shows.

This October we’re going to be performing on three consecutive Sundays (the 11th, the 18th and the 25th) at 9:30pm as part of Extended Play at The Playground.  Extended Play is based on the idea of having a year long improv festival where teams can be seen doing festival-length shows over three weeks right here in Chicago.

It’s a cool concept and we’re happy to be a part of it.  So, October 11th, 18th and 25th, come on out to The Playground and watch us have fun doing some long form improv for you.

It’s a good time to be a Batterymouth fan, because we’ve got two really fun shows coming up.  On Saturday, June 27 we’re going to be in the great state of Minnesota for the Twin Cities Improv Festival.  We’re going to be performing at 7:00pm along with local group Five Man Job.  So, if you live out in that area or you feel like taking a trip to Minneapolis, get your tickets and we’ll see you out there.  This is our first festival performance and we’ve heard that TCIF is a lot of fun, so we’re really looking forward to it.

For all of you Chicagoans out there, we also have a show coming up on Tuesday, June 30 at The Playground.  The show kicks off at 8:00pm and we’re going to be performing with The Hamiltons, Stranger for a Day and The Rabble.  That’s right, four improv teams in total!  Try to wrap your head around that.  So, if you can’t make it out to TCIF, be sure to catch us here at home.

Batterymouth is back on stage, y’all!  Tonight we’ll be doing some long form improv at The Playground in Chicago and it should be a grand old time.  Did I mention it’s at midnight?  I didn’t mention that it’s at midnight?  Okay, it’s at midnight.

I don’t know why, I kind of just like writing the word “midnight”…

We’re opening for two teams – Double Stuff (Joseph Holt, Patrick Rowland and Brandon Taylor) and 55 Days at Sea (Joseph Romaine, Vincent Portacci, Derek Shoemaker and John Edward “Ted” Tremper).  Tickets are only $7 and The Playground is BYOB, so it’s a great way to have a cheap Friday night out that contains a metaphorical bucket full of laughs.

We hope we’ll see you there.  We miss you.
